Who are we and why is this company any different from other boat repair companies?

We are two young sailors and boat owners, on a mission to create a sailboat repair business that treats your own boat as if it was ours.

We want to provide a service unlike any other. We want to understand your needs and help you achieve your goals, be that to spend more time sailing and less time in the yard fixing or helping you refurbish your lovely yacht.

Verner Paavola
Partner & Co-owner
Verner Paavola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (specialising in, among other things, insurance and environmental law) and has been called to the Bar of England and Wales. They have become an avid sailor in the last 5 years, purchasing and refurbishing a late 70s yacht and undertaking a full engine rebuild of an inboard marine diesel. Verner has quickly developed technical skills in engine repair and maintenance, fibreclass repair, 12V electrical systems, and running rigging inspection and setup. They bring to the table legal and business knowledge, a keen understanding of risk management, and a rapidly evolving practical skillset.

Dominik Vugrinec
Partner & Co-owner
Dominik Vugrinec holds a Master’s degree in Physics and has been immersed in the sailing world from the age of five, sailing Olympic-class dinghies such as the Optimist and Laser. He represented his university in Scotland as part of the sailing team, with experience in team racing in Firefly-class dinghies. His technical background includes the complete construction of a racing stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and hands-on repair work on privately owned sailboats, combining academic precision with practical marine craftsmanship.
